Sport and Technology Entrepreneur
Born in Naples, Rodi is an aerospace engineer who started his career at NASA Goddard in Greenbelt (USA), where he worked on the implementation of new electronic technologies for on-board satellite data intelligence.
He then moved to Race Engineering in Formula 1: Five F1 world championships won in Scuderia Ferrari between 2000 and 2005 where he learned how a winning organisation operates. Following this, he spent three years at Redbull Racing where he contributed to the first podium (Monaco 2006) and the foundation of future Redbull successes.
After 8 years as Vehicle Performance Engineer in F1 Teams, he moved his interest into Business and People Performance, where he has covered:
Sales and Marketing Director of Magneti Marelli Motorsport and CTO Group
Business Unit Director of McLaren Applied - Motorsports
In both cases, he managed to profitably grow the revenues by surrounding himself with very strong teams engaged by challenging strategies and business models.
Today, Rodi is a Tech and Sport Entrepreneur. He enjoys promoting the sports as the ideal environment for technology and business model innovation for high tech SMEs, start-ups and spin-offs who want to rapidly evolve from TRL 3 and 7. He is often invited by universities and conferences for lectures and keynotes.
